Here are the tips for costing a tour itinerary: –

1. Find out the size of the group/number of passengers

Before you think of costing a tour itinerary, always find out how many passengers are signing in for the tour. The number of visitors determines the number of things from vehicle capacity to use, the number of rooms to quote, and their entrance fees to an entry site among many things. It’s therefore advised always to first know the number of persons you are costing for following that itinerary.

2. Choice of accommodations facilities

Costing a tour itinerary, it is crucial to know the category of lodging facilities that are being used. For instance, guests can choose to stay in top-end facilities, others can decide to stay at moderate facilities and others can decide to stay at budget facilities, all these facilities will certainly give a different price to your guests.

The attractions are very key while costing a tour itinerary. In Uganda, the most expensive attraction is the Mountain Gorillas resulting in Gorilla trekking safari. This and more attractions all have got a price for a visitor to take part in. It is therefore advisable to know and check the tariff guide of that attraction considered.

4. Mode of transportation and transfers

It is known that most of the tours are by road transfers especially here in Uganda. It is so important to note in some countries, flights are very common and available to hire to ferry guests from one point to the other. Others can choose to use a bus or ship or charter helicopter for their transfers from one destination  to the other

5. Number of days/nights of the tour
